Opening hours & Tickets

The Historical Museum of Crete will remain closed to the public from Monday 12 to Saturday 17 January 2026, due to scheduled technical works. 

The Museum will open to the public on Monday 19 January 2026.

Monday - Friday: 09:00 - 15:30
Saturday: 09:00 - 15:00
Sunday & Public holidays: Closed 

Summer Opening Hours | April - October
Monday - Sunday: 09:00 - 17:00
Public holidays: Closed

Admission
Adults: 8,00 €
Concessions: 5,00 € (Pupils and students (on production of ID), Senior citizens)
Admission free: Children 12 and under, visitors with disabilities with a rating of 67% or more, on presentation of valid disability card or disability certificate, and one escort of persons with visual or mobility impairment

Access to the HMC Café and Shop is free during Museum opening hours.
