VISITS THE HISTORICAL MUSEUM OF CRETE

On Saturday 18 September 2021, the President of the Republic of Greece Katerina Sakellaropoulou, accompanied by her partner Mr Pavlos Kotsonis, visited the Historical Museum of Crete. She was welcomed by the President of the Society of Cretan Historical Studies Professor Alexis Kalokerinos and SCHS Vice-President Mrs Claire Mitsotaki.


The President’s visit to the Historical Museum of Crete was attended by representatives of local government, the President of the Heraklion Municipal Council Mr Grigoris Paspatis, the Deputy Mayor for Culture Mrs Aristea Plevri, and the Deputy Mayor for Education Mrs Stella Archontaki-Kalogeraki.


The presidential couple were given a private tour of the HMC Collections by the SCHS President and curators Mr Agisilaos Kaloutsakis and Mrs Angeliki Baltatzi.
